“I hate feeling like I don’t have control over my own body – and this was definitely driving me crazy.” Jason Alexander, author of Restless Leg Help, felt like most of us Restless Leg sufferers.
One of our deepest frustrations is that we have no idea what had causes our RLS. We don’t want to just be briefly relieved from our torture – We want to banish it forever!
Restless Leg Help showed me that, despite what some doctors say, there is a cure for Resltless Leg Syndrome and the cure has nothing to do with treating our legs.
Restless Leg Help convinced me that Restless Leg Syndrome Has Absolutely NOTHING
To Do With MY Legs.
Restless Leg Help teaches you an approach that costs nothing, and solves you problem once and for all!
Check out this treatment, the treatment that those who sell pills and recommend surgeries do not what you to know. Click on the image of the book to go to the Restless Leg Help website.
Well, treatment, that is the second best thing we Restless Leg Syndrome folk desire. We keep out ears and eyes attuned to any mention of something to do for our suffering. Be it the latest techno-drug or a new way to meditate, we strive to understand and hope. Most of us been taken over by our legs for more than a decade and have heard and tried a lot of remedies.
Do a search on Restless Leg Remedies and you will get results about AMA approved drugs, homeopathic medicine, meditation and sleep therapy. All claim to give us some relief from Restless Leg Syndrome and they have each proven useful for someone, probably thousands of ‘someones’.
RLS has been treated with some pretty mean chemicals. Medicines that mediate the constant tremors of Parkinson’s disease, highly addictive opioid narcotics are prescribed for Restless Leg Syndrome. Many muscle relaxants and sleep inducing drugs have been taken by many, at little effect. The RLS is out of control in some of us that doctors have medications that common treat epilepsy.
Various types of spa treatments have been recommended to us. Warm baths and massages relax the offending muscles, and alternating cool and hot packs that lesson the symptoms short term seem to be selling into suffering with Restless Leg Syndrome for the rest of our lives.
Research backs the notion that stress can boost the strength and frequency that Restless Leg Syndrome is manifest. That is why Yoga and meditation have been effective in reducing the severity of RLS.
Too much of our morning coffee or afternoon tea, researchers say, can feed Restless Leg Syndrome. When we reduce the intake of the duo, Alcohol and tobacco, RLS symptoms might drop off.
Any sickness, syndrome, or psychological imbalance is helped by regular exercise and sufficient sleep.
There are some medications they tell us to stay away from. Antidepressants and some anti nausea drugs can cause RLS to spike.
As if there were not enough alternatives, the world of ‘alternative medicine’ has a fairly large and often helpful collection of herbs and the like aimed at Restless Leg Syndrome. It is believed that RLS is sometimes the result of an underlying nutritional deficiency. The alternative medicine offers supplements for the most common nutritional culprits such as Iron, Folic acid, Vitamin B, and magnesium.
I said treatment for Restless Leg Syndrome is only the second best thing we desire. What we want most is relief – we want it to go away.
We will explore the various promises of relief and even recommend some. I suffer along with you and I will search along with you.
Wondering if you have Restless Leg Syndrome? My guess is that you know you have it because you have this feeling that defies description that compels you to move your legs, stand up, or pace the floor. Or, you could just have an interest in Restless Leg Syndrome that disturbs (how is that for putting it mildly) the rest of us. Anyway, here are the classic symptoms. If you have some of them, then you are on of us, a Restless Leg Syndrome sufferer:
| You have a strong urge to move your legs | |
| You cannot suppress the urge with a mental powers – you cannot ignore it. | |
| The urge to move your legs occurs mainly when you are laying down, or sitting – terribly annoying when you are on a date, in a movie theater, or on an airplane. | |
| You are tired of trying to explain the urge to someone else. | |
| Your RLS symptoms are worse in the evening. | |
| Your Restless Leg Syndrome symptoms get better or go away when you move your legs. generally starts very soon after starting an activity. | |
| As soon as you stop moving, sit, or lay down the Restless Leg Syndrome symptoms return. | |
| Your husband or wife ever gripes that you keep them up at night, because you are often jerk your leg in erratically. | |
| Has anybody in your family ever complained about similar symptoms? | |
| You have told a doctor about this symptoms and the doc says “there is nothing wrong with you” or “there is no cure for this problem.” |
You are not alone. According to some research one in every ten people you see walking down the street or seated in the grandstands watch a ball game are disturbed by Restless Leg Syndrome. Ten percent of the US population have the overwhelming urge to move their legs when they are at rest. I am one of those with Restless Leg Syndrome.
Like most syndromes, Restless Leg Syndrome is often referred to by an acronym, RLS. To us who have we wish its affects could be abbreviated as easily as its name. We would also be grateful if Restless Leg Syndrome was as predictable as forming its acronym. It had left me alone for almost a month, then for the last couple of weeks, just before time to go to bed, that unpleasant urge to shake move my legs around, then it builds to the need to stand up, walk, dance SO SOMETHING with my legs. The need to sleep, the urge to move, wow it almost seems that I am out of control. I am not out of control, but my legs sure are.
Can you identify with those feelings? Well then, keep coming back here. I will not only be sharing symptoms – with a little humor I hope, but I will review some of the remedies and treatments.
